About Integrated Library Management System (ILMS)
The Priyadarshini Bhagwati College of Engineering (PBCOE) has adequate infrastructure for Library with digital facilities using ILMS and adequate subscriptions to e-resources and for journals. Teaching and learning system is supported by library by providing reading material and easy access to get online information about different subjects. The institute has established a technologically advanced library system, employing the KOHA Online Library software with the version 18.11.03.000, an Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS). This strategic implementation greatly enhances the institution's library services and management.
The KOHA software provides robust support for various library functions, particularly in the realm of circulation control. It efficiently manages book issuance and returns, ensuring a streamlined process. Moreover, the software facilitates an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) that empowers users to conduct searches based on titles and periodicals. This digital search functionality enhances user experience and access to the extensive library resources. Through KOHA, the library can generate comprehensive reports related to general book information, categorized by Accession Number, Title, Author, and Publisher. This aids in organized book tracking and resource management. Additionally, the software allows for effective book classification, enabling grouping by genre, author, subject, and publisher. This feature simplifies book retrieval and selection, enhancing the library experience for both students and staff.
